Biography

Nelly holds a Doctorate in Health Psychology and completed advanced training in Primary Care Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She currently serves as Chief Clinical Officer at the Care Transformation Collaborative of Rhode Island (CTC-RI), where she leads statewide initiatives to improve primary care delivery and integrated behavioral health. Her work focuses on translating evidence-based models into clinical practice through quality improvement strategies, workforce development, and policy innovation. In addition to her leadership role, Nelly provides direct patient care at a local community health center, where she applies integrated approaches to address the intersection of chronic medical conditions and behavioral health—ensuring that system-level strategies remain grounded in real-world clinical experience.
