Can an "Apple a Day" Keep PFAS Away?

Dr. Angela Slitt delivered a fascinating talk on PFAS for the Advance RI-CTR Clinical and Translational Research Seminar Series, hosted by Dr. Sharon Rounds.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – November 7, 2025 – Advance RI-CTR, the leading collaborative for clinical and translational research in Rhode Island, today announced that Dr. Chathuraka Jayasuriya, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital, is the recipient of the inaugural Award for Clinical and Translational Research Excellence.
This special opportunity award has been created in honor of the 10-year anniversary of Advance RI-CTR and to celebrate our collective Decade of Discovery. We are pleased to announce that we will be awarding $10,000 to an early career investigator who embodies clinical and translational research excellence in the state of Rhode Island.
