How It Works
- Open to all graduate level students and clinical faculty.
- The course format will follow the digital book Mastering Health Data Science Using R, by Dr. Alice Paul, an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at Brown University with a background in algorithms, optimization, and data science. Dr. Paul teaches several data science and computational courses, including PHP 1560/2560: Statistical Programming in R.
- Students will complete readings and exercises that will be assigned each week.
- An experienced R programmer, Maia Lindner-Liaw, will be hosting an office hour to review the week’s material every Monday and Friday and answer questions students may have as they progress through the book.
- A weblog will be maintained to which students may post questions and receive feedback from each other and from the facilitator.
The Course Will Cover
- Data structures
