ISCORE-RC

Advance RI-CTR is proud to be part of the IDeA State Consortium for a Clinical Research Resource Center (ISCORE-RC).

IDeA State Consortium for Clinical Research Resource Center (ISCORE-RC) is a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded project headquartered at West Virginia University, with the goal of increasing the number of clinical trials available in IDeA states across the country.

Rhode Island Hospital became a member site in fall of 2023, led by Advance RI-CTR principal investigator, Dr. Sharon Rounds, and Dr. Ghada Bourjeily, professor of medicine, health services, policy and practice at Brown University and Brown University Health.

ISCORE-RC serves as a catalyst to increase the number of clinical studies in IDeA states.  ISCORE-RC achieves this mission by offering:

  • A comprehensive training program for clinical research coordinators
  • A dedicated clinical service core to build capacity for increased clinical study opportunities

To learn more about ISCORE-RC and how to be part of expanding clinical trials access across Rhode Island, please contact Andrew Schumacher (aschumacher@brownhealth.org).

This program is funded by a grant from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (U24GM150446)
