Low-value care is a prominent health issue that affects the quality of care that patients in RI and across the country receive when they interact with the healthcare system. Such experiences lead to adverse health outcomes due to unnecessary medical procedures and tests. Our project is highly relevant to state and federal efforts to reduce the use of low-value care and increase the uptake of high-quality evidence-based healthcare services.
