About the Program
Advance RI-CTR-N is offering two cohorts of our highly regarded Research Mentoring Training Program. The Advance RI-CTR-N Research Mentoring Training Program provides faculty mentors with skills and techniques to enhance communication with their mentees and improve outcomes for professional development and success. Participants work within an intellectual framework, experiment with different methods, and discuss strategies for solving mentoring dilemmas with colleagues.
- Cohort 1 (in-person): December 3, 2026, from 8am to 5pm at South Street Landing in Providence, Rhode Island.
- Cohort 2 (virtual): will take place every Friday in February from 9am to 11 or 11:30am
Note: attendance at either the full in-person training, or all weeks of the virtual cohort is required to complete your certificate.

Eligibility
Faculty and fellows at Brown, URI, and the affiliated hospital systems in Rhode Island are eligible to participate at no cost. The program is geared toward established faculty members who mentor early career faculty and/or postdoctoral fellows in clinical or translational research. Preference will be given to experienced mentors; however, mentors of all career stages are welcome to apply.
