Who should acknowledge Advance-CTR in research publications?
Federal law requires that all NIH-funded investigators submit an electronic version of their final, peer-reviewed manuscript to the National Library of Medicine’s PubMed Central upon acceptance for publication. See the NIH Public Access Policy.
Advance-CTR requires all investigators to acknowledge Advance-CTR in all of their research publications that benefited from any Advance-CTR resources.

Faculty who are supported by Advance-CTR must acknowledge the grant in all research publications that are related to their role with the grant.
Publications that are unrelated to the faculty member’s funded role with Advance-CTR may also be acknowledged. This is encouraged by NIGMS and Advance-CTR, but at the discretion of the researcher or faculty member.

These guidelines reflect NIH policy. Advance-CTR staff will monitor publications to assure adherence with these requirements. Failure to comply with the terms and conditions of the Public Access Policy may result in the placement of special conditions on current awards or preclusion of grantees from obtaining future Advance-CTR funding.
