decorative header including copy that is stated in text. Are you a researcher interested in real-world implementation? Then register for an inaugural half-day retreat entitled “Going the Last Mile of Translation.”

Many researchers around Brown University are engaged in research to close the research-practice gap, yet there are few opportunities to connect, limiting innovation and our collective ability to take translational research the “last mile” into the community. Join us on March 24, 2026, from 8:30am to 1:00pm, at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, for an inaugural half day retreat designed to:

  • Increase and improve Clinical and Translational Research (CTR) in Rhode Island (RI)
  • Build capacity for real-world implementation research
  • Develop collaborative research networks within Rhode Island
  • Create a structured engagement process with implementation science (IS) experts and faculty

Enjoy a keynote by Dr. Rani Elwy: “How You Can Impact Federal Health Policy,”  a panel discussion: "From Discovery to Delivery," one of four interactive breakout sessions, and a structured networking opportunity.

Light breakfast and a boxed lunch will be provided.

This event is hosted by the BRIDGE, Advance RI-CTR and Providence / Boston CFAR programs.
