Dr. Bill Grobman to speak on “Pregnancy and life-long health” as part of the Advance-RI CTR Seminar Series

This series features outstanding science from expert investigators alternating with Advance RI-CTR Pilot Project awardees sharing their early research. Seminars are held virtually on the second Thursday of each month.

Please join us at noon on Thursday, May 14, 2026 for a talk by Dr. Bill Grobman entitled “Pregnancy and life-long health.” This talk will trace the connection between pregnancy outcomes and cardiovascular health through the life course.

About Dr. Grobman

After receiving his BA from Amherst College and his MD from Harvard Medical School, Dr. Grobman undertook training in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Northwestern University. During his fellowship training, he completed an MBA in Health Services Administration and Decision Sciences at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. 

Since his training, Dr. Grobman has been a faculty member at the Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University and at The Ohio State University, and he is presently a The Liz Lange Chair in Women’s Health, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Associate Dean of Clinical Research at Brown University Medical School; Chief Clinical Officer of CareNewEngland; and Executive Vice-Chair in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

His research has focused on the prediction and prevention of adverse obstetric outcomes, the optimization of obstetric health services, and the reduction of health disparities. He has been the PI on multiple NIH and foundation grants, authored over 700 peer-reviewed publications, and is a member of the Association of American Physicians and the National Academy of Medicine.
